Christmas
is but a date

representing
this wonderful gift.

Really, every day
is to be looked for

Christ returns
to claim His people.

And as we wait
patiently, longingly

we remember
that first Christmas

and a Father
separated

from Heaven's prince,
darling of all.

And surely
our father's longing

for His son
is far greater

than we can
only imagine.
